Gift Card FAQ

• Can I purchase more than one gift card?

  Yes. While you cannot purchase multiple cards at once, there is no limit on how many gift cards you may purchase. Note: you will not be required to create a new account for each purchase.

• Do I need to create an account to purchase a gift card?

  Yes, in order to purchase a gift card, you will need to create an account within our system. Please note: gift cards are a one-time purchase, and you will not be automatically signed up for a subscription or charged on a weekly basis.

• When will the recipient receive the gift card?

  An email will be sent to the recipient immediately after purchase. Gift cards are not associated with an email address, however, so you may send the gift card to yourself and forward it to the recipient at a specific date/time, if you prefer.  

  All Tovala Gift Cards are delivered via email. If you have confirmed the recipient's email address, but the Tovala Gift Card has not been viewed within a reasonable period after the delivery date, the following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed:

  • Invalid email address

  • Spam filter blocked the email 

  • Email was routed to a bulk/spam folder

  • The recipient's firewall blocked the email

• What happens if I have credit left on my account from my gift card?

  Any remaining gift card balance will be automatically applied to your next meal order.

• Do I need the oven to purchase a gift card?

  No, you do not need to own our smart oven in order to purchase a gift card! However, in order to enjoy our meal subscription, you will need a Tovala Smart Oven.

• If I create an account, will I automatically have a subscription?

  Nope! Neither the gift card purchaser nor the card recipient will be automatically signed up for our subscription service when they create an account. 

• Can I use the gift card to purchase an oven and/or meals?

  Absolutely! Here are some simple instructions to help you get started:

  To redeem your gift card for an oven:

  • Simply click “Get Started” on the homepage to begin the checkout process.

  • Add a gift card during the checkout step (within the order summary). 

  • That’s it! 

  To redeem for Tovala Meals:

  • Create a Tovala account (or log in to your existing account)

  • Click “Gift Cards” at the top of your screen

  • Choose Gift Cards/Promos 

  • Enter your gift card number in the card field and click “Redeem Gift Card”

  • Congrats! Your gift card credit will now appear in your account and will be automatically applied to your next order. 

  Please note: gift cards cannot be used for Marketplace purchases.
